NSW Federation of Community Language Schools Annual Dinner (20 May 2017)

Our Principal, President and Treasurer recently attended the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools Annual Dinner. Our school is proud to attend this event each year, to learn about the great work that community language schools are doing across the state. The event was attended by the Premier, two Ministers, two Shadow Ministers, two Parliamentary Secretaries, and the Multicultural NSW Chairperson and CEO. There were almost 600 people present, with almost 100 different schools and organisations representing 51 languages.

The NSW Premier has announced a $10.9 million funding increase over 4 years towards community language schools, which we are pleased to hear about. The community language sector is composed of voluntary and not-for-profit organisations who are dedicated to encouraging the preservation of traditions, culture, language and arts for thousands of our young people, setting the foundation for a successful multicultural future.
