about our school

Green Valley Languages and Arts School is a not-for-profit organisation that has been teaching Hindi language from K-12, Indian music and Dance to students for 30 years. We have 6 qualified teachers, all of whom are accredited with the NSW Federation of Community Languages Schools. In 2016, we have almost 100 students.

Green Valley Languages and Arts School has been a pillar in the local Fiji-Indian community in the Western Sydney region for providing quality community education for over 30 years.  In this time, we have been steadily growing in both the number of enrolled students per year and the quality of education we are able to provide these students. Our aim is to promote Hindi language and culture, develop positive values and attitudes within the community through education. As a community language school, we operate under the guidelines of the Department of Education and Training and are registered with the Department of Fair Trading.

Our School teaches language, music and dance to students. GVLAS also helps instill ethical values, positive morals, and teaches life skills about how to be productive and valued members of society. The values and morals that these students gain help them to become proactive and engaged citizens who are empowered to give back to their local community.

We are based at the Green Valley Public School premises, at 173/183 Green Valley Rd, Green Valley. Hindi languages classes run on Sunday mornings from 10 am to 12 pm. Music (tabla and harmonium) and dance (bharatnatyam and bollywood) run from 12 pm to 1 pm.
